You know what’s funny? Most guys fall into two groups. A) Guys who swear on pick up lines and B) Guys who claim all pick up lines suck and never work.
What gives here? They can’t both be right? Or can they? The truth is the guys who make pick up lines happen to fulfill a few criteria. The guys who always seem to fail with pick up lines however, they miss these criteria. I’m here to share these secrets on how to use pick up lines, so you too can make them work for you!
1) Location
You could approach the exact same girl, with the exact same line, and she will respond completely differently if its yoga class, than if its on the street. The thing is, girls are really weary about meeting guys in any environment that’s public, and not social. I’m not saying to never use pick up lines in public, but be aware they have a much bigger chance of bombing, especially if the other 3 factors below are not met.
2) Invitation
This is a factor that increases your odds of success more than anything else. Did the girl invite your approach or is she at least approachable in general? If a girl stares at you from a distance, hovers around you or is in general open and smiling… If you use a pick up line, its much more likely to work if she’s approachable in general, or asked you to approach her in specific. Its a lot more likely to fail if she has her arms crossed and has a “don’t talk to me” sign plastered all over her face.
3) Mindset
A really great way of shooting yourself in the foot is approaching with a needy mindset. If you see a cute girl, and you think “Wow, how hot, I will go over there, say this line, and she will have sex with me in return”, it will fail miserably. A much better way to use pick up lines is with the “giving” mindset. You see a cute girl, and you say to yourself “Wow, she looks cool, I’ll go over there, give this line to break the ice, and see if she’s a cool person”. So, you’re actually using the line as a way of giving her something, a chance to meet a new person. You’re not using the line to get something.
4) Sincerity
The best way to make a pick up line work, is to say it with sincerity and confidence. If you’re saying the line, just to say it – will fail. You want to say the pick up line in a way that resonates with you. It really is what you’re thinking or feeling at that moment… Unless of course its a funny line where you’re just kidding around. In that case you need to have a sincere desire to make her laugh.
